Better not see his shadow. I'm starting to go crazy.

weight

My bike is this configuration in which I will race it weight 15.5 lbs in a size 56. Not too bad considering I don't have any super fancy lightweight parts. For example the heavy ultegra pedals, force brakes/fd, stock stem, etc. Now if I could get some Zero Gravity brakes, look keo blades and Zipp 404s, the UCI would have to start investigating my bike weight.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, my personal weight has gone up quite a bit. It could be the S.A.D. i get in the winter that prohibits me from excercising and eating large quantities of unhealthy food. But lets just say I haven't weighed this much since before I started cycling. I'm hoping to climb well this upcoming season, so I have some lbs to shed.

cooler than a polar bear's toenails

Winter Trophy Series was cold. There was like 10-12" of snow to ride through. We ran a good portion of it. I have so many sore muscles. Thanks to Shawn and Becky, and everyone who showed up. It was actually pretty miserable, but better than being cooped up in the house all day. Nice time at Mr. Zubs afterwards too. A bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and a guiness is perfect as a post ride meal.

I love Rays

I do. I finally can cleanly clear the middle line in the rhythm room. Dare I try the big line, where the jumps have got to be at least 7-8 feet tall?? I think I may have found my limit. In other news- I hate snow, winter, cold, salt, and clouds.

I jumped off the bridge

It was cold Sunday. Like, stupid cold. One of those winter days that you just stay indoors and try not to venture outside. I somehow ended up riding 30 miles in my coldest ride to date. Thanks to Johnny P jumping off the bridge, we were out in -5 windchill. I'm kind of glad I went out though. It will be a good story to remember in the summertime.

Happy New Years

What is the best way to ring in the new year? Ride, of course. Robert S and Johnny P joined me for a cold, snowy ride at reagan. Got about 1.5 hours in and the ground was 95% frozen. Nice way to kick it off.

Happy 2010!
